Don’t waste your time in pleasing others, just pleased yourself first!

It only makes them happy to “have control”over you, but you become miserable yourself and no matter how much you change to please someone else, it’s never enough. Don’t change who you are for anyone, not worth the headache, heartache, or your integrity! ~ Theresa Griffin 

You will never make them happy, nor should that be your job. Their happiness is their responsibility. If you are being controlled or walking on eggshells, make the necessary changes. You should be able to follow your destiny while still supporting others to who are following theirs. However, you shouldn’t be made to feel guilty for following your own, or strong armed out of it. If other’s don’t support you following your passion that’s their prerogative, if they accuse you of not caring about them because you’re not passionate about their dream, that’s their problem, and their mistake. Encouraging others to follow their dreams and helping where you can is an act of caring. By all means encourage and help those you care about. However, you should never have to feel apologetic for being passionate about something else. ~ Darren Barker
