It’s like you wanting to go forward in life with one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, you must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. Your journey will be lighter and easier if you don’t carry your past. Decide to face your pain. Find the courage to revisit all the pain. Accept there’s nothing you can do to change the past. What’s happened has happened, and what’s done is done. But you can change how you think, and you can start over again, and build a different future that’s not poisoned by the past.
